Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 620 and 621 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Baltimore City (1949 Edition, being Article 4 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland), title "Baltimore City," subtitle "Sabbath,"
be and the same are hereby repealed:

[620.

No vehicle of any description shall be permitted to carry ice upon
the streets or highways of Baltimore City, for the purpose of selling
the same, on the Sabbath Day, commonly called Sunday.

621.

If any person or corporation be found guilty of causing or in any
way contributing to the violation of the preceding section, lie or
it shall be subjected to a fine of not more than fifty dollars, in the
discretion of the courts.]

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

CHAPTER 37
(House Bill 424)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 624 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Baltimore City (1949 Edition, being
Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title
"Baltimore City," subtitle "Schools," amending the local laws of
Baltimore City with respect to the use by the public schools of
funds from intestates' estates in order to correct the procedure pro-
vided in one of these sections.

Whereas, Section 624 in the 1949 Edition of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Baltimore City having reference to the use by the
public schools of funds from intestates' estates should be amended in
order to bring the procedures therein in accord with current practice;
now, therefore,

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 624 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Baltimore
City (1949 Edition, being Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland), title "Baltimore City," subtitle "Schools," be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

624.

They shall, upon passing an order directing such payment,
require from the [Treasurer of the Board of School Commissioners,
or any other officer who may be appointed by the said Board of
School Commissioners of the Mayor and City Council of said city to
receive such funds,] Director of Finance of the City of Baltimore a
receipt and release to the administrator for the same.
