Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the new sections hereby
added to the Code of Public Laws of Prince George's County and the
Montgomery County Code shall be included in any printed compila-
tion of such Code or printed supplement thereto.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That if any provision of this
Act or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held
invalid for any reason, such invalidity shall not affect the other
provisions or any other application of this Act which can be given
effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end,
all the provisions of this Act are hereby declared to be severable.

Sec. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

AN ACT to add eleven new sections under the new subheading
"Redevelopment—Urban Renewal" to the Charter of the Town of
Morningside as said charter is contained in the Code of Public
Local Laws of Prince George's County (1963 Edition, as amended,
being Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland)
title "Prince George's County," subtitle "Morningside," to au-
thorize and empower the Town of Morningside to carry out urban
renewal projects and the redevelopment and rehabilitation of slum
or blighted areas, including the acquisition of property for such
purposes with certain provisions in regard to such acquisition by
the exercise of the power of eminent domain; declaring such
activities to constitute functions in furtherance of which the Town
of Morningside may exercise the power of taxation, spend public
funds and extend public credit; granting to the Town of Morning-
side certain additional powers and authority necessary or proper
to carry into full force or effect the powers hereinabove mentioned
and to place certain restrictions and limitations on certain powers
granted.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That eleven new sections be and they are hereby added to the
Charter of the Town of Morningside as said charter is contained in
the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County (1963 Edi-
tion, as amended, being Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland) title "Prince George's County," subtitle "Morning-
side," to be under the new subheading "Redevelopment—Urban Re-
newal," and to read as follows:

52-68. Definitions.

(a) The following terms wherever used or referred to in this
article shall have the following meanings, unless a different meaning
is clearly indicated by the context.
