(e)  "Turf Plug" means a small section cut from live turf of those
kinds of turf normally vegetatively propagated such as zoysia grass,
which when severed contains sufficient plant material to remain
intact.

(f)  "Turf Sprig" means a live plant, stolen, STOLON, crown or
section cut from perennial plants used as turf such as Bermudagrass.

(g)  "Sod" means turf sod, turf plugs, or turf sprigs of a single
kind or variety or a mixture of kinds and varieties.

(h) "Advertisement" means all representation disseminated in
any manner or by any means relating to sod within the scope of this
subtitle.

(i) "Kind" means one or more related species or subspecies which
singly or collectively is known by one common name.

(j) "Variety" means a subdivision of a kind characterized by
growth, plant, fruit, seed, or other characters by which it can be
differentiated from other plants of the same kind.

(k) "Mixture" means sod consisting of more than one kind or
variety, when claimed or present, in excess of a certain per cent of
the whole as designated by rules and regulations promulgated under
this subtitle.

(I) "Weeds" include plants or plant parts, including seeds recog-
nized by the Maryland State Board of Agriculture as weeds within
the State and shall include noxious weeds.

(m) "Noxious Weeds" are weeds which, when established, are
objectionable and difficult to control by practices commonly used.
Noxious weeds are divided into two classes: Prohibited noxious
weeds are those prohibited in sod. Restricted noxious weeds are
those to be restricted to certain maximum contents in sod.

(n) "Origin" means the state and county of the United States,
or the foreign country, or designated portion thereof, where the sod
was grown.

(o) "Labeling" includes all labels and other written, printed or
graphic representations, in any form whatsoever, accompanying or
pertaining to any sod and includes representations or invoices, bills
of lading, delivery tickets or other receipts.

(p) "Lot" means a definite quantity of sod, identified by a lot
number or other identification. , which is uniform throughout for the
factors which appear on the label. For the purpose of enforcing this
subtitle, each truckload or portion thereof may be considered a lot
and shall be accompanied by a complete label and a bill of lading,
delivery ticket, or invoice.

(q) The terms "inspected," "approved," "certified," "registered,"
AND "foundation," and "breeders" when referring to sod means sod
which has been produced or collected, inspected, and labeled in
accordance with the procedures and in compliance with the rules and
regulations of an officially recognized certification agency or agencies.

(r) "Officially
