(House Bill 1405)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 255(g)
of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Testamentary Law," subtitle "Orphans'
Court," increasing the salaries of the Talbot County Orphans'
Court judges.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 255(g) of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1964 Replacement Volume), title "Testamentary Law," sub-
title "Orphans' Court," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
255.
(g) Each of the judges of the orphans' court for [Talbot and]
Caroline [counties] county shall receive twelve dollars ($12.00) for
every day's attendance upon the sessions of said court, not to exceed
$825 in any one year. Each of the judges of the orphans' court for
Talbot County shall receive fifteen dollars ($15.00) for every day's
attendance upon the sessions of said court, not to exceed ONE
THOUSAND five hundred dollars ($500.00) ($1,500.00) in any one
year. Nothing in this subsection shall be construed to limit the
expenses of the judges of the Orphans' Court of Talbot County
as provided for in Section 3 (e) of Article 25 of this Code, title
"County Commissioners."
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the provisions of this
Act shall not be construed to extend or apply to the judges of
Orphans' Court of Talbot County in office on the effective date of this
Act, but the provisions of this Act shall take effect with the next term
of office.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

(House Bill 1451)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 67 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Talbot County (1930 Edition,
being Article 21 of the Code of Local Laws of Maryland), title
"Talbot County," subtitle "County Commissioners," as last
amended by Chapter 506 of the Acts of 1957; TO INCREASE THE
SALARY OF THE COMMISSIONERS OF TALBOT COUNTY;
to authorize the County Commissioners of Talbot County to employ
a clerk or manager and fiscal advisor or specialists, and matters
generally relating thereto; AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ACT
SHALL NOT APPLY TO THE INCUMBENT COMMIS-
SIONERS.
