17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Prince
George's County," subtitle "Park and Planning Commission," said
Section being also Section 70-109 of the Montgomery County Code
(1965 Edition, as amended, being Article 16 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland), title "Montgomery County," subtitle
"Park and Planning Commission," be and they are hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, as follows:

59-103 (70-109)

In Prince George's County, all witnesses appearing in a hearing
before the district council shall be subject to cross-examination; pro-
vided, however, the district council may establish reasonable rules
and procedures governing both the cross-examination and the ad-
ministering of oaths to witnesses appearing to testify at District
Council hearings?
AFTER FIRST CONDUCTING A PUBLIC
HEARING ON SAID RULES AND PROCEDURES.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

(House Bill 1079)

AN ACT to add new Section 333A to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Baltimore City (1949 Edition, being Article 4 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Baltimore City," subtitle
"Health," subheading "Regulation of Retail Meat Sales," to follow
immediately after Section 333 thereof, promulgating standards
for the composition of certain meat products sold at retail in
Baltimore City and providing a penalty for non-compliance.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 333A be and it is hereby added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Baltimore City (1949 Edition, being Article 4
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Baltimore
City," subtitle "Health," subheading "Regulation of Retail Meat
Sales," to follow immediately after Section 333 thereof, and to
read as follows:

333A.

(a) It shall be unlawful for any retail grocery, food market,
butcher or any other person, firm or corporation to sell, offer or
expose for sale or to keep in any establishment from or in which food
products are sold, any meat products which are labeled or represented
as hamburger or ground or chopped beef unless the composition of
these products complies with the following standards:

(1) Hamburger shall consist of chopped fresh beef, with or
without the addition of beef fat as such and/or seasoning, and shall
not contain more than thirty (30) per cent of fat.
