(2) Ground or chopped beef shall consist of chopped fresh beef,
with or without the addition of beef fat as such and/or seasoning,
and shall not contain more than fifty (50)
THIRTY (30) per cent of
fat

(b) Any violation or failure to comply with any of the provisions
of this section shall be punishable by a fine of not less than twenty
dollars ($20.00), nor
more than one hundred dollars ($100.00) for
each violation.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1969.

CHAPTER 520
(House Bill 1080)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 108(3)
and 119 (a) of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1968 Replacement Volume), title "Justices of the Peace," sub-
title "Trial Magistrates System," increasing the salaries payable
to certain trial magistrates and substitute trial magistrates in
Baltimore County and increase , INCREASING the number of said
substitute trial magistrates AND PROVIDING THAT AFTER
MAY 1, 1971, BALTIMORE COUNTY MAGISTRATES BE
MEMBERS OF THE MARYLAND BAR.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 108(3) and 119 (a) of Article 52 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1968 Replacement Volume), title "Justices of
the Peace," subtitle "Trial Magistrates System," be and they are
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

108(3).

There shall be sixteen trial magistrates, one of whom shall sit
in Catonsville, one in Cockeysville, one in Dundalk, one in Edge-
mere, one in Essex, one in Fullerton, one in Halethorpe, one in
Kingsyille, one in Parkton, one in Parkville, one in Pikesville, one
in Reisterstown, one in Sparrows Point, one in Towson, one in
Woodlawn, and one at a suitable location on the Pulaski highway.

The Baltimore County trial magistrates herein provided for shall
hold sessions of no less than three days in each week and such other
sessions as the duties of their office and public convenience may
require. AND AFTER MAY 1, 1971, SHALL BE MEMBERS OF
THE MARYLAND BAR.

The said trial magistrates shall receive annual salaries of not
less than the following amounts:

Catonsville, [three thousand eight hundred dollars] four thou-
sand two hundred dollars
[($3,800.00)] ($4,200.00)

Cockeysville, [three thousand two hundred dollars] three thou-
sand four hundred dollars
[($3,200.00)] ($3,400.00)
