Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1969.

AN ACT to repeal Section 233 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Harford County (1965 Edition), being Article 13 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford County," subtitle
"Election Districts," and to enact new Section 233 in lieu thereof,
to stand in the place of the section repealed, providing for the
revision of the boundaries of certain election districts in Harford
County and clarifying the status of territory over which jurisdic-
tion has been ceded to the United States of America.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 233 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford
County (1965 Edition), being Article 13 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "Harford County," subtitle "Election Dis-
tricts," be and it is hereby repealed, and that new Section 233 be and
it is hereby enacted in lieu thereof, to stand in place of the section so
repealed, and all to read as follows:
Harford County is hereby divided into six (6) election districts,
which shall have the same boundaries as are now extant, except as
hereinafter provided:
(1) The First Election District shall be held to include within its
boundaries the territory between the Gunpowder and Bush Rivers
over which jurisdiction has been ceded to the United States of
America, which is generally known as the Edgewood Arsenal, and
which was contained within the said district prior to such cession
of jurisdiction.
(2) The Second Election District shall contain all the territory
presently within its boundaries which is not included within the
boundaries of the Sixth Election District as hereinafter provided;
and it shall be held to include within its boundaries the territory
between the Bush River and the head of the Chesapeake Bay over
which jurisdiction has been ceded to the United States of America,
which is generally known as the Aberdeen Proving Ground, and
which was contained within the said district prior to such cession
of jurisdiction.
(3) The Sixth Election District shall be bounded as follows:
Beginning for the same at that point in the Susquehanna River
where the boundary between Cecil and Harford Counties is inter-
sected by the center line of Interstate Highway No. 95, also known
as the Northeastern Expressway and as the John F. Kennedy Memo-
rial Highway and running thence in a Southwesterly line along the
center line of Kennedy Highway until it intersects the center line
233.
