The Condicon of this Obligation is Such that if ye above bound John

Poplewell shall dige make & finish one well, at or near ye house

of John Bishopp where formerly the sd Poplewell began the said

well but did not finish it but now promiseth & engageth to finish

the Satisfaction & Content of the afd Bishopp, agt the last day of

September in the year of our Lord 1694: Then this Obligation to

be void & of none effect, otherwayes to remaine in full Strength

force effect & Vertue                                                    {Jno Doe

And the Dfendt pr Sam Worthington his Attorney Comes & Saith yt

the Condition of the Bond & the Declaracon doth Vary & that the

Condicon is interlined Since the Bond drawn which ought not

to be & Saith that the whole Bond is void by ye interlineing &

of this he puts himSelf uon the Court. Worthington

              And the Plt by Robert Pirrie Saith that the Bond & Declaracon

              doth not vary for they agree Verbatim & ye interlineing

              was before Signing Sealing & delivery & ye bond is not

              void & of this he puts himSelf upon the Court. Pirrie

Somerset County in Maryland.

Know all men by these prsents that I John Poplewell of Somerset

County & Province afd Planter doe owe & stand firmly indebted unto

John Bishopp of the afd County & Province in the full & just Sum of

One thousand pounds of good Sound Mertable Porke to the true paymt

whereof I bind me my Heirs Extors Admrs to pay or Cause to be paid

to the afd Bishopp him his Heirs Extors Admrs or Certain Attorney

at or upon the tenth day of November next & ensueing the date

hereof at Snow hill Landing in Witness whereof I have under [the]

Condicon Sett my hand & Seal this 8th-day of Janry 1693/4.

The Condicon of this Obligation is Such that if the above

The Declaracon &ca Bond &ca being read & the Evidences Sworne &

examined the matter being referred to the judgmt of this Court

who having Considered ye prmises, do give judgmt agt ye Dfendt

with Cost of Sute alias Executio // for ye debt declared for

Jno Turpin made Oath that he attended thirteen dayes in Court besides

his going & Comeing to four Courts for Jno Bishopp plt agt Jno

                            Poplewell dft // Order granted for ye Same.
