his Attorney Complaineth that whereas the sd Joseph ye 28th day of July in the year of our Lord 1692 at Pocomoke within ye Jurisdiction of this Court by his Certain Note Subscribed with the propper hand of him the sd Joseph , acknowledged himself to be indebted to the sd John in the full & just Sum of nineteen Shillings & Sixpence to be paid in Countrey Comodities at the price Currant ye year ensueing the date of ye sd Note Never the less the sd Joseph the sd Sum of nineteen Shilling & Six pence, according to the tenour & effect of the sd Note hath not paid, although the sd Joseph to pay the Same hath been requested but hath hitherto refused & doth Still refuse to the damage of ye Said John of Eight hundred pounds of tobacco & thereof he brings his Sute &ca. This shall oblige me Joseph Staton me my Heirs Executors Admrs or Assigns to pay to John Emmett he his Heirs or Lawfull Attorney the full & just Sum of nineteen Shillings & Sixpence to be pd in Country Comodities as price Currant doth goe this ensueing year, as Witness my hand this ye 28th day of July 1692 Joseph Staton Hough 9H Conner his marke. 9ber y3 12th 1695.
