Dft } John Baird late of this County ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Mercht. was attached to To answer unto James Beachannon of a plea of tresps of the Case &a And whereupon the sd James pr Samuel Worthington his Attorney Complaineth that on ye Second day of August in the year of our Lord God 1695. the Said John at Monokin within the Jurisdiction of this Court became indebted unto the sd James in the just Sum of Eighteen Shillings Sterling as pr a note from under the hand of the sd John doth appear, the date hereof is the day and year aft. Nevertheless the sd John to ye Said James the afd Sum of money hath not paid to ye great damage of the sd James of fourty shillings of like money & thereupon he brings this Sute &ca.
