doe humbly Certifie that there never was any acco^t here entered any

Edm^d Macdonnell        day by Vertue thereof the Defend^t in Court app^d

Edmd was by the Oaths of three Evidences (viz) Wm [Leamore] John

Bishopp & Wm Stevenson found guilty of pocketts picking &ca.

Ordered by the Wor^ll Court that the sd Edm^d be Comitted into y^e Sheriffs

Custody & that sd Sher at y^e Whipping post give the sd Edm^d 39=

lashes on his back bare, well laid on , which was forthw^th executed

& further Ordered that sd Edm^d give good Security for his behaviour &ca.

Whereupon came the sd Edm^d & his Securities Wm Stevenson & Thomas

Quillaine & the sd Edm^d did acknowledge himself by way of Recog=

to be indebted unto our Soveraign Lord King Wm the third Over England

&ca the Sum of five pounds Sterl money of England & the sd Wm

& Thomas to Sum of 50^s . a piece all due to be levied on their goods

& Chattels Lands & Tennem^ts for his Maties use afd. —

The Condicon of which Recognizance is Such that if y^e above bound

Edmund Macdonnel be of the good behaviour & abearance to all his

Maties liege People of this Province duering this Courts pleasure

that then this Recognizance to be void otherwayes to be & remaine

in full force & Vertue provided the fees are also paid –

                            Courts adjourned for half an hour
