Chattels Land and Tennements for their Maties uses &ca the Condicon of this Recognizance is Such That if the afd Tho. Oxford Shall make his prsonall appearance at ye two next Succeeding Courts & there abide Such Corporal punishmt as this day is awarded agt the sd Oxford by an order of Court and that in the meantime & dureing the Courts pleasure to be of the good behavior & abearance to all their Maties liege People of this province & also pay the tobacco as pr sd Ordr with Cost of Sute &ca. that then the aforesd Recognizance to be void & of none effect otherwayes to be & remaine in full power force & vertue order ye Jurors fees ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Their Maties agt The said Hester being prsented Hester Jones dft } by the Grand Jury this day appeared ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ the matter being debated &ca. Ordered by the Worll Court that Hester Jones wife of Anthony Jones give good Security for her good behavior during ye Crts pleasure Whereupon Came Anthony Jones afd & his Securities Swan Swanson & the sd Anthony did by Recognizance confess himself to be indebted to their Maties the Sum of tenn pounds Sterling money & the said Swan & Edward in the Sum of five pounds Sterling a piece like money afd all due to be levied on their good & Chattels Lands & Tennements for their Maties uses &ca - - - The Condicon of this Recognizance is such that if the Said Hester Jones Wife of the above bound Anthony Jones be of the good behavior & abearance to all their Maties liege People of this Province dureing this Courts pleasure & also pay all Cost of Sute , that then this Recognizance to be void & of none effect otherwayes to be & remaine in full power force & Vertue —

Wm Henderson plt Somerset County Ss Joseph Staton late of Somerset Joseph Staton dft } County Planter was Attached to answer unto Wm ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Henderson of a plea of debt. &ca. __________ And whereupon the sd Wm by Robt Pirrie his Attorney Saith that whereas the sd Joseph ye Seventh day of Janry in the year of or Lord 1692/3 at Monokin within the Jurisdiction of this Court by a Certain Bill Obligatory which the sd Wm. under the hand & Seal of the sd Joseph bringeth here into Crt the date whereof is the day & year afd did acknowledge himSelf to be bound [to] the sd Wm in the full & just Sum of two thousand five hundred pounds [of] good Sound Merchantable tobacco & Caske to be paid to the Said William at [or] before the 10th day of October in the year of or Lord God 1694 Nevertheless [the] sd Joseph the sd Sum of 2500 pounds of tob. as afd according to the tenour of the Said Bill to the Sd Wm he hath not pd but hath hitherto
