Whereupon Came the sd Jane Jones & her Security David Griffis and the sd Jane & David did Confess themSelves joyntly & Severally to be indebted unto our Soveraign Lord the King in the Sum of 800 pounds of tobacco a piece due to be levied on their goods &ca for his Maties uses &ca. The Condicon of which Recognizance is Such that if the abovesd Jane Jones doe well & truely pay unto our Soveraign Lord the King the Sum of four hundred pounds of Tobacco as a ffine for Basterdy with all officers fees that then this Recognizance to be void & of none effect else to remaine in force &ca. Attached in the hands of Majr William Whittington effects to the full value & Charge within mentioned pr me John King Corroner // The Garnishee appearing in open Court & Confest to have effects in his hands belonging to the estate of the sd Low to the Value of three thousand Two hundred pounds of Porke & Twelve hundred pounds of Tobacco. The which Two Sums of Porke & Tobacco afd this Court – Orders Condemnation with Execution thereon &ca. — — —
Somerset County Ss // To all Christian People whome these prsents may or doe Concern Know yee that I John Williams of the County afd, for divers reasons & good Consideracons me thereunto moveing, doe freely give after my decease unto My Two Grand Sonns, to Witt Isaac Williams & John Williams the Sonns of my Sonn John Williams deceased all that Tract or percell of Land whereon I now live in Manner & form following, that is to Say I doe freely bestow on my aforesd Grand Sonn Isaac the Plantation whereon I now live with an equall share of the Land, and the other half of my Land I doe freely give unto my afd Grandson John Williams with the half of the Orchard of my afd Plantation given unto Isaac Williams, while Such time as in possibility my sd GrandSon can raise an orchard upon his part which is the upper part of the afd Devident or Tract of Land, To have & to enjoy the Same to them & their Heirs for ever, Only allwayes Excepted yt my Daughter in Law Jane Williams To have her lifetime in ye afd Plantation or on any part of the aft Tract of Land, in Confirmacon of which, I have here unto Sett my hand & Seal this sixth day of Janry ano Domii 1695/6.
