Comand y^w that y^w take into y^r Custody the body of John Jenner late of

this County taken by Thomas Cox & Henry ffreaks by Vertue of Hue & Cry

for Suspition of Buggery &ca. & that y^w Safely keep the sd John Jenner in

y^r Safe Custody until the next County Court to be hold at Deviding Creek y^e

Second Tuesday of this Instant Jan^ry , or till he Shall be delivered by due

Course of his Maties Laws, & for y^r So doing this shall be y^r Sufficient Warrant

The aforesd Mittimus being read it was by the Wor^ll Court ordered that y^e

sd John Jenner Give good Security for his app^e y^e next Court to answer &ca.

Whereupon Came the sd John Jenner & his Securities Stephen Cossine &

Thomas Cox and the sd Jenner did acknowledge him Self to be indebted

unto our Soveraign Lord the King the Sum of one hundred pounds Sterling

& the sd Costine & Cox in the Sum of fifty pounds Sterling money a piece all

due to be levyed on their goods & Chattels Lands & Tennements for his

Maties use &ca.

The Condicon of which Recognizance is Such that if the above bound Jn^o Jenner

doe make his p^rsonall appearance before the Justices of our next County Court

to be held at Deviding Creek the Second Tuesday of March next then & there

to answer unto all Such matters & things as shall be then & there objected agt

him on behalf of our Soveraign Lord the King then the Recognizance to

be void or else to remaine in full power force & Vertue.

Jane Jones – }        this County at a Court held at Deviding Creek the

Jane Jones for that the sd Jane not having the fear of God before her eyes

but moved by the instigation of the Devil hath Comitted ffornication and

born a Basterd Child Contrary to the Peace, & agt the form of the Act in y^t

The Indictmt being read to which the sd Jane Confessed herSelf guilty and

did then declare that John ffynch was the ffather of the afd Basterd Child

Ordered that process issue for the sd ffynch’s app^a next Court to answer to

the King &ca. Sup^a sd Jane to give her Evid agt sd ffynch. Ordered the sd
