        County – The Petion of Mary Megraugh Widd^o most humbly sheweth

That y^e Petioners husband in an^o 1689/90 by Recognizance in this Wor^ll Court

became bound for one John Careys good behaviou^r & abearance to all his —

Maties Liege People of this Province in the Sum of Tenn pounds Sterl

money to be levyed on his goods &ca. Now So it is may it please y^r worpps

that y^r Petioners husband being deceased hath left a poor Widd^o with Seven

small Children in a Deplorable & helpless Condicon being scare able to Support

without the Charity of her Neighbours & friends she therefore most humbly

prayes that this Wor^ll Court will please to Signifie the foresd premises So

his Exce^lly the Govern^r of this Province that the fd Bond may not proceed

agt the poor Widdow & fatherless & as in duty bound shall ever pray &ca.

        The fd Petion being read, the p^rmisses Considered it is the Wor^ll

        Court judgm^t that the foresd Widd^o. is an object of Charity as is

        before Sett forth, and therefore doe Order the Same be made known

        to his Exce^lled. as prayed and that y^e Same be Signed by y^e Clk &ca.
