the Sum of Three thousand pounds of Tobacco a piece all

due to be Leavied on their goods & Chattels Lands & Tenemts

for his Maties use &ca. — The Condicon of which

Recognizance is Such that if he the sd Edward Stevens do well

& faithfully observe the due tending & keeping the foresd

fferry as a fferryman in that Station ought to doe then this

Recognizance to be void otherwayes to be & remaine in full

power force & Vertue. //

Ide Banister                    day Sworn too by ye sd Ide in open Court

~ ~ ~ ~ ~                 Ordered that the Dfts be Comitted into ye

Sheriffs Custody So that they be & appear before ye Justices of our

next County Court to be held the second Tuesday in Janry next

to answer all Such matters & things as Shall be then & there

alleadged agt them on behalf of the King &ca. unless ye Dfts

give Security to appear as aforesd. ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Whereupon Came the Said Chr: ffoster & his Security, Hen

Layton, & likewise Came the sd Ide Banister & her Security

Richard Tull, and the sd Christopher And Ide did acknow

ledge themSelves to be indebted unto our Soveraign Lord the

King in the Sum of twenty pounds Sterling money a piece

all due to be leavied on there good &ca & the sd Securities in ye

Sum of ten pounds a piece like money all due to be leavied

on their goods & Chattels lands & tenemts for his Maties use

The Condicon of which Recogniz is Such that if the above

bound Christopher ffoster & Ide Banister, doe make their

Personall appearance at our next County Court to be held the

Second Tuesday in Janry next then & there to answer unto Such

matters & things as shall be Objected agt them on behalf

of his Maties that then this obligation to be void and of none

effect otherwayes to be & remaine in full force & Vertue.

          



                   Courts adjourned till tomorrow 8 [hour]
