day license shall be two thousand two-hundred fifty dollars
($2,250.00).

21.

(h) In Kent County the annual fee for such a license shall be
fifteen hundred dollars ($1,500.00) for a six-day license and the fee
for a seven-day license shall be one thousand seven hundred dollars
($1,700.00).
Provided that in Kent County no person under the age
of twenty-one years shall be permitted in the tavern or on the
premises wherein liquor is sold under a Class D license; and provided
further that in Kent County all alcoholic beverages sold under a
Class D, beer, wine and liquor license, except liquor sold by the sealed
bottle or package, quantities in containers of one-fifth gallon or
larger, and beer, shall be consumed on the premises only.

101.

In Kent County, notwithstanding any other provision of this sub-
title, it shall be unlawful for any person to sell or for any retail dealer
to give alcoholic beverages between the hours of midnight on Satur-
day 1:00 A.M. ON SUNDAY and 6:00 A.M. on Monday, except as
to all seven-day licenses and Class C, beer, wine and liquor license (on
sale) club under which it shall be lawful to keep for sale and sell
in Kent County, [for consumption on the licensed premises] alcoholic
beverages on Sunday between the hours of 2:00 o'clock P.M. and
midnight. Any person selling or any retail dealer giving alcoholic
beverages in Kent County between the hours of midnight on Satur-
day 1:00 A.M. ON SUNDAY and 6:00 A.M. on Monday, except
as to all seven-day licenses and Class C license aforesaid, shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof shall be fined
not exceeding fifty dollars ($50.00) for the first offense, and for each
succeeding offense shall be fined not exceeding one hundred dollars
($100.00) or imprisoned in the county jail for not more than thirty
(30) days or be both fined and imprisoned, in the discretion of the
court.

Sec. 2, And be it further enacted, That before this Act becomes
effective it shall first be submitted to a referendum of the legally
qualified voters of Kent County at the general election to be held in
November of 1968. There shall be printed on the ballots or ballot
labels to be used at said election the title of this Act and underneath
said title, on separate lines, a square or box to the right of and opposite
the words: "For Sunday Sales of Alcoholic Beverages" and a corre-
sponding square or box to the right of and opposite the words
"Against Sunday Sales of Alcoholic Beverages" so that the voters of
the county shall be able to designate his or her decision for or against
the provisions of this Act. If a majority of the votes cast in said elec-
tion shall be "For Sunday Sales of Alcoholic Beverages" then the
provisions of this Act shall become effective, but if a majority of the
votes cast in the election shall be "Against Sunday Sales of Alcoholic
Beverages" then the provisions of this Act shall be of no effect and
shall be null and void.
