(3). "Industrial project" means (i) a new industrial or manufac-
turing plant for the construction of which a mortgage loan guarantee
is sought from the Authority; or (ii) a former industrial or manu-
facturing plant for the acquisition, rehabilitation, or improve-
ment of which a mortgage loan is sought from the Authority; or (iii)
buildings used primarily for storage or transshipment of manufac-
tured goods; or (iv) buildings to be used for research and develop-
ment for the discovery and perfection of new processes and products;
or (v) THE CONSTRUCTION, ACQUISITION, REHABILITA-
TION, OR IMPROVEMENT OF tourist industry facilities including
hotels, inns, lodges, resort complexes, restaurants, marinas, camp-
grounds, travel
trailer parks, and other facilities used by tourists
when such facilities fill an established need in the overall development
or expansion of a municipality's, county's, or region's tourist industry
and/or convention business for construction; acquisition, rehabili-
tation, or improvement of which a mortgage loan guarantee is sought
from the Authority
.
However, "industrial project" shall not be
deemed to include a mercantile or non-tourist industry service estab-
lishment. THE FINANCING, CONSTRUCTION, OPERATION,
AND ADMINISTRATION OF AN INDUSTRIAL PROJECT UN-
DER THIS SUBTITLE SHALL BE SUBJECT TO THE PROVI-
SIONS CONCERNING DISCRIMINATION AND UNLAWFUL
PRACTICES IN ARTICLE 49B OF THIS CODE, TITLE "INTER-
RACIAL COMMISSION."

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

CHAPTER 4
(Senate Bill 54)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 32 (a),
32 (g), and 71D (b) of Article 66˝ of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1967 Replacement Volume and 1967 Supplement),
title "Motor Vehicles," subtitle "Administration—Registration—
Titling," amending the motor vehicle laws in order to correct an
omission and erroneous wording therein.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 32 (a), 32 (g), and 71D (b) of Article 66˝ of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1967 Replacement Volume and 1967
Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles," subtitle "Administration—Reg-
istration—Titling," be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

32.

(a) The Department upon registering a motor vehicle shall issue
to the owner one registration plate for a motorcycle, trailer, [semi-
trailers] semi-trailer, to all new and used car dealers, which shall
