(House Bill 689)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 63(q)
of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Procedure for Issue of
Licenses," increasing the limitation of expenditures for salaries
and expenses for the board of license commissioners in Talbot
County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 63(q) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Pro-
cedure for Issue of Licenses," be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

63.

(q) In Talbot County the salaries of the board of license com-
missioners, together with the necessary office, clerical, and investi-
gational expenses of the board shall be paid by the County Com-
missioners out of receipts from licenses for the sale of alcoholic
beverages. Provided, however, that the board shall not expend more
than [two] three thousand five hundred dollars in any year for
salaries and expenses, said sum or sums to be expended in the
discretion of the board.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

AN ACT to add new Section 12(e) to Article 66B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1967 Replacement Volume and 1967 Supple-
ment), title "Zoning and Planning," subtitle "Planning," sub-
heading "Title 1—Municipal Planning and Zoning Commission,"
to follow immediately after Section 12 (d) thereof, to provide for
an increase in the number of commission members on the Wash-
ington County Planning Commission.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 12 (e) be and it is hereby added to Article 66B of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1967 Replacement Volume and
1967 Supplement), title "Zoning and Planning," subtitle "Planning,"
subheading "Title 1—Municipal Planning and Zoning Commission,"
to follow immediately after Section 12(d) thereof, and to read as
follows:

(e) Provided, however, that for Washington County, the com-
mission shall consist of seven members.
