(2) Under the provisions of Sections 275-297 of this title, com-
monly known as the Vestry Act, as from time to time amended and
applicable to the Diocese of Maryland.

Any parish or separate congregation in union with the Diocese of
Maryland which may at any time have been incorporated under
Chapter 24 of the Acts of 1798 or under special act of the General
Assembly having reference to Chapter 24 of the Acts of 1798 may
elect to be governed by the provisions of this title "Corporations,"
subtitle "Religious Corporations," subheading "In General," Sections
256-270, inclusive, of this Article, by filing with the State Department
of Assessments and Taxation articles of amendment declaring such
election, subject, however, to the provisions of Section 274C hereof.
274C.
Any new congregation of the Protestant Episcopal Church in the
Diocese of Maryland which incorporates under the authority granted
in Section 274A(1) hereof, or any existing parish or separate con-
gregation which makes the election provided in Section 274B hereof,
shall be subject to the organization, government and discipline of
the Protestant Episcopal Church in the United States and of the
Diocese of Maryland as set forth from time to time in the constitu-
tion and canons of said Church and of said Diocese.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

AN ACT to repeal Section 13 (c) of Article 17 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1966 Replacement Volume and 1967 Supplement),
title "Clerks of Courts," subtitle "General Duties of Clerks," to
repeal the law requiring Clerks of Courts to certify the existence
of recorded federal tax liens.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 13(c) of Article 17 of the Annotated Code of Maryland,
(1966 Replacement Volume and 1967 Supplement), title "Clerks of
Court," subtitle "General Duties of Clerks," be and it is hereby
repealed.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.
