election, shall issue to the applicant, or his duly authorized agent, an
absentee ballot which shall be marked by the voter, placed in a sealed
envelope, and returned to the board. If the applicant does not apply
in person, the application shall designate an

TERED IN THE SAME COUNTY OR BALTIMORE CITY AS
agent for the purpose of delivering the absentee ballot to the voter,
and the agent shall execute an affidavit that the ballot was delivered
to the voter who submitted the application, was marked by the
voter in the agent's presence, was placed in a sealed envelope in the
agent's presence, and returned, under seal, to the board by the agent.
FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS SUBSECTION DULY AU-
THORIZED AGENT SHALL MEAN THE VOTER'S EM-
PLOYER, SUPERVISOR, ATTORNEY, OR MEMBER OF THE
VOTER'S IMMEDIATE FAMILY. Any emergency absentee bal-
lot received by the board after the time for closing of the polls shall
not be counted.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

CHAPTER 225
(House Bill 334)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 326 of
Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1967 Replace-
ment Volume and 1967 Supplement), title "Natural Resources,"
subtitle "Fish and Fisheries," subheading "Crabs, Lobsters and
Terrapins," to amend the laws applicable to the minimum size of
crabs allowed to be taken to correct a prior Act which erroneously
excluded some of the provisions of this section.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 326 of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1967 Replacement Volume and 1967 Supplement), title "Natural
Resources," subtitle "Fish and Fisheries," subheading "Crabs, Lob-
sters and Terrapins," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

326.

It shall be unlawful for any person to take, catch or have in his
possession any hard crabs [measuring] of which more than four
(4) per bushel or ten (10) per barrel measure
less than five inches
across the shell from tip to tip of spike, or any peelers (which are
hereby defined as having a soft shell fully developed under the hard
shell, on which there is a pink line or rim on the edge of that part
of the back fin next to the outer section of this fin) measuring less
than three inches across the shell from tip to tip of spike, or any soft
crabs measuring less than three and one-half inches across the shell
from tip to tip of spike; nor shall any person take, catch or keep in
floats or in his possession any fat crabs, or any crab known as snot
