crab or green crab or buckram crab (a crab that has a paper shell).
In the waters of Worcester County the minimum size of crabs shall
not be applicable to mature female crabs as identified by the rounded
apron. The provisions of this section shall apply to all waters of the
State of Maryland, and any person violating any provisions of this
section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall upon conviction
be fined as hereinafter provided, and in addition thereto the deputy
commanders and inspectors of the State fishery force are hereby
authorized to confiscate and liberate into the waters of the State
any fat crab, snot crab, green crab, or buckram crab wherever found
and held in violation of this section, and said officers are further
authorized to confiscate any hard crabs, peelers or soft crabs of a
size less than the measurements hereinbefore provided, wherever
found, and shall dispose of any crabs so confiscated under the direc-
tion of the Department of Chesapeake Bay Affairs to the best inter-
ests of the State.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

(House Bill 335)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 18 of
Article 38A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Fires and Investigations," subtitle "Fire-
works," amending the law relating to fireworks in order to insure
that the display of fireworks will be under the supervision of
experts EXPERIENCED AND QUALIFIED PERSONS.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 18 of Article 38A of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1965 Replacement Volume), title "Fires and Investigations," sub-
title "Fireworks," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
18.
The State Fire Marshal is authorized to grant special permits for
display of fireworks in places where the discharge thereof will other-
wise be legal. Such permit shall not authorize the holder thereof to
possess or discharge fireworks in violation of any ordinance or regu-
lation in effect where the display is to be made and shall not relieve
the applicant from also obtaining any additional license or authority
which may be required by the governing body in said locality. All
applications for permits for public display as herein provided shall
be made at least ten (10) days in advance of the date of display.
Said permit shall be nontransferable, and shall be granted only after
the State Fire Marshal shall have determined that the said display
will not endanger the health or safety of persons in the locality, or
cause injury to property belonging to others [.] , and the display of
