Resolved, That a copy of this Resolution be sent to the Chairman
of the Planning and Zoning Commission and each County Commis-
sioner of Harford County.

(House Joint Resolution 84)

House Joint Resolution requesting the Governor to appoint a com-
mittee to look into the recontinuance of the interfaith baseball
games.

Whereas, in the past the interfaith baseball games held in
Memorial Stadium, Baltimore, Maryland, were an important part of
the baseball season and a popular civic attraction; and

Whereas, these games were a means of promoting harmony be-
tween citizens of this State; and

WHEREAS, the games were sponsored by the B'nai B'rith, the
Knights of Columbus and the Shriners; and

Whereas, because of differences between the sponsors, their
sponsorship was dropped; and

Whereas, Baltimore Baseball, Inc., would more than welcome the
recontinuance of this function, if appropriate and willing sponsors
were found; now, therefore, be it

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the Governor
be requested to appoint a committee to look into the recontinuance of
these games and find willing sponsors; and be it further

Resolved, That the Chief Clerk of the House be instructed to send a
copy of this Resolution to the Governor of Maryland.

(House Joint Resolution 89)

House Joint Resolution requesting the Governor of Maryland to in-
crease financial support for research by the Department of Ches-
apeake Bay Affairs on fishery problems, and to request the Mary-
land representatives in the United States Senate and House of
Representatives to support a program to provide sufficient funds
to the U. S. Bureau of Commercial Fisheries to conduct at least
two ground fish surveys per year in the Middle Atlantic Bight
for the purpose of distributing resultant data.

Whereas, The Middle Atlantic Bight is a distinct ecological zone,
stretching from Cape Code to Cape Hatteras; and,
