"Revenue and Taxes," subtitle "Maryland Tax Court," be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments to read as follows:

229.

(f) The Court shall have full power to hear, try and determine
or remand any matter before it and may permit or require all ex-
planations, amendments and additions to be made to any of the pro-
ceedings or pleadings, including the petition of appeal, as in its
discretion shall be necessary or desirable so that the case may be
properly heard and determined. The Court shall not be bound by the
technical rules of evidence.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

CHAPTER 684
(House Bill 517)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 14A-5(a)
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Anne Arundel County (1957
Edition, being Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Anne Arundel County," subtitle "Chapter 14-A
People's Court of Anne Arundel County," as added by Chapter
894 of the Acts of 1963, increasing the salaries of the Judges of
the People's Court of Anne Arundel County and to transfer and
codify such sections under Section 98B-5(a), of Article 52 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume and 1967

Cumulative Supplement), provided that Chapter........ of the Acts

of 1968 (House Bill 465) is enacted.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 14A-5(a) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Anne
Arundel County (1957 Edition, being Article 2 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland), title "Anne Arundel County," subtitle
"Chapter 14A. People's Court of Anne Arundel County," as added
by Chapter 894 of the Acts of 1963, be and are hereby repealed and
re-enacted with amendments to read as follows:

14A-5.

(a) The Governor shall designate one of the Judges of said Court
as Chief Judge and Administrative Officer who shall receive an
annual salary of [Seventeen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
($17,500)] Eighteen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($18,500).
The other full-time Judges shall receive an annual salary of [Seven-
teen Thousand Dollars ($17,000)] Eighteen Thousand Dollars
($18,000).

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That said sections be and they
are hereby transferred and codified in Section 98B-5(a), of Article
