(House Bill 523)
AN ACT to add new Section 42B to Article 43 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume and 1967 Supplement),
title "Health," subtitle "Miscellaneous Provisions," to follow im-
mediately after Section 42A thereof providing that payment by
the State Department of Health to vendors under the Maryland
Medical Assistance Program be limited to invoices received within
the maximum time for payment as stipulated by the United States
Department of Health, Education and Welfare.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 42B to Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1965 Replacement Volume and 1967 Supplement), title "Health,"
subtitle "Miscellaneous Provisions," to follow immediately after
Section 42A thereof and to read as follows:
42B.
The State Department of Health shall make no payment to any
vendor under the Maryland Medical Assistance Program if the in-
voice is received on a date later than the maximum elapsed time for
payment stipulated by the United States Department of Health,
Education and Welfare.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 492 and
522 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1967
Replacement Volume and 1967 Supplement), title "Sabbath Break-
ing," and to enact new Sections 521(g), 534G and 534H of said
Article and Title, to follow immediately after Sections 521 (f)
and 534F respectively, to except Baltimore County from the
