CHAPTER 681
(House Bill 496)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 114 of
Article 21 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1966 Replacement
Volume and 1967 Supplement), title "Conveyancing," subtitle
"Land Installment Contracts," to require statements furnished by
vendor to disclose when the vendee has paid forty per cent of the
original cash price.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 114 of Article 21 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1966 Replacement Volume and 1967 Supplement), title "Convey-
ancing," subtitle "Land Installment Contracts," be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

114.

Every vendor under a land installment contract shall, (1) annually
within thirty days of the first of each calendar year, or (2) on de-
mand of the vendee no more than twice a year, AND (3) WHEN-
EVER 40 PER CENT OF THE ORIGINAL CASH PRICE HAS
BEEN PAID, furnish a statement to the vendee showing

(a)    The total amount paid for

(1)    Ground rent, if any,

(2)    Insurance,

(3)    Taxes and other periodic charges ;

(b)    The amount credited to principal and interest; [and]

(c)    The balance due.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

CHAPTER 682
(House Bill 504)

AN ACT to add a new Section 36A 394A to Article 43 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume), title
"Health," subtitle "Miscellaneous Provisions," "WATER, ICE
AND SEWERAGE," to follow immediately after Section 36
394 thereof, requiring the State Board DEPARTMENT of Health
or the local board of health to set up HOLD a public hearing before
granting permission for any deposit of unwholesome or noxious
matter on any of the land or water areas of this State
A PERMIT
FOR A LANDFILL REFUSE DISPOSAL SYSTEM, and pro-
viding generally for the procedures and provisions applicable to
this hearing.
