ment may reimburse said agent for the amount of licenses returned
but at no time shall a reimbursement be made for unused fishing
licenses later than [December] March 31 of [each and every] the
following
year. All fishing licenses not returned by this time shall
be deemed as sold and no refunds can or shall be made for that
particular year.

Any agent convicted for any violation of the provisions of this
section before a court of competent jurisdiction of this State shall
be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine
of not less than Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) nor more than Two
Hundred Dollars ($200.00), or by imprisonment in jail for not less
than ten (10) days nor more than thirty (30) days, or both fine and
imprisonment, and in addition thereto shall be relieved of his license
issuing appointment.

[224A. Garrett County.

It shall be unlawful for any person to take or catch fish from or in
Savage River or the Little Savage River and its tributaries, in
Garrett County, Maryland, except during the trout season, April 1st
to June 30th, each year. Any person violating the provisions of this
section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon convic-
tion, fined not less than five dollars ($5.00) nor more than fifty
dollars ($50.00).]

225.    Wharf, pier, dock, etc., prohibited on Deep Creek Lake.

It shall be unlawful for any person to build, construct, or have
constructed or place any wharf, pier, dock, float, or any projection
along or running into or over the waters of Deep Creek Lake without
first obtaining from the Department of Game and Inland Fish [Com-
mission] of Maryland and the lessors of said area a written permit
to so do.

226.    Fish hatcheries.

The Department of Game and Inland Fish [Commission] is au-
thorized and empowered to erect and maintain suitable fish hatch-
eries, nurseries, ponds, and rearing stations for propagation purposes
and for stocking the streams with game and fresh water fish, such
hatcheries to be maintained out of any funds derived from the sale
of anglers licenses.

227.    Assent to Public Law 681, 81st Congress.

The State of Maryland hereby assents to the provisions of the Act
of Congress entitled "An Act to provide that the United States shall
aid the States in fish restoration and management projects, and for
other purposes," approved August 9, 1950, (Public Law 681, Eighty-
first Congress), and the Department of Game and Inland Fish [Com-
mission] is hereby authorized, empowered, and directed to perform
such acts as may be necessary to the conduct and establishment of
cooperative fish restoration projects, as defined in said Act of Con-
gress, in compliance with said act and rules and regulations
promulgated by the Secretary of the Interior thereunder; and no
funds accruing to the State Game Protection Fund of the State of
Maryland from license fees paid by fishermen shall be diverted for
