Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the provisions of this
Act as they apply to salary only shall not be construed to extend
or apply to the State's Attorney in office on the effective date of
this Act, but that these provisions shall take effect with the next
term of office.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.

CHAPTER 320
(House Bill 891)
AN ACT to add new Section 9(11E) to Article 81 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1966 Supplement), title
"Revenue and Taxation," subtitle "What Shall Be Taxed and
Where," to follow immediately after Section 9(11D) thereof, to
increase the farm implement exemption for county taxation pur-
pose in Kent County for the taxable year beginning July 1, 1967,
only.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 9(11E) be and it is hereby added to Article 81
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1966 Supple-
ment), title "Revenue and Taxation," subtitle "What Shall Be Taxed
and Where," to follow immediately after Section 9(11D) thereof,
and to read as follows:

(11E) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (11) of
this section for the purposes of county taxation for the taxable year
beginning July 1, 1967, only, in Kent County twenty-five hundred
dollars in value of the farming implements of any farmer.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.
