I, Lloyd L. Simpkins, Secretary of State of the State of
Maryland, pursuant to the direction contained in Section 172 (c) of
Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, (1957 Edition), Do
Hereby Certify, that at the General Election held in the State of
Maryland on November 8, 1966, an Act known as Chapter 514 of the
Acts of 1966, was submitted to the voters of Charles County under
the provisions of Chapter 514 of the Acts of 1966, said Act being as
follows:
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 222A
(d) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Charles County (1964
Supplement, being Article 9 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland), title "Charles County," subtitle "Parks and
Recreation," as last amended by Chapter 664 of the Acts of
1965; and to add new Section 222B to the said Code and sub-
title, to follow immediately after Section 222A thereof; to
authorize and direct the County Commissioners of Charles
County to appropriate monies for the purposes of parks and
recreation in the County.
and I DO certify that at said election 1,300 votes were cast in
favor of adoption of Chapter 514 of the Acts of 1966, and 3,553 votes
were cast against adoption of said Chapter 514 of the Acts of 1966,
the said Act has therefore failed of ratification.
In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my
name and affixed my official seal at the City of Annapolis,
this 9th day of December, 1966.
