be called by the secretary upon written request of any two members.
The Board of Examiners of Nurses is authorized to frame such
bylaws as may be necessary to govern its proceedings. The secretary
shall be required to keep a record of all meetings of the Board,
including a register of the names of all nurses duly registered under
this subtitle, which shall at all reasonable times be opened to public
scrutiny, and the Board shall cause the prosecution of all members
violating any provisions of this subtitle, and may incur necessary
expenses on this behalf. [The treasurer, before entering upon the
discharge of the duties of treasurer, shall give bond in the sum of
two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) with a corporate surety, to be
approved by the Board.] The treasurer, upon entering the duties
as treasurer, shall be covered by a surety bond in accordance with
the provisions of Sections 46 through 50 of Article 78A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland.
The members of the Board shall
receive ten dollars ($10.00) for each day actually engaged in this
service, and all legitimate and necessary expenses. Said expenses and
salaries shall be paid from fees received by the Board under the
provisions of this subtitle, and no part of salaries or other expenses
of the Board shall be paid out of the State treasury.

Article 43

314. Meetings, seal and election of officers; duties and bond of
treasurer.

The first meeting of said Board shall be held within thirty days
after their appointment as aforesaid at a time and place to be fixed
by a majority thereof, who shall give suitable notice thereof to all
members of said Board. At such meeting the Board may adopt a
common seal, and shall elect from its members a president, a secre-
tary and treasurer. The treasurer shall receive all fees paid for
licenses or certificates, and shall keep a record thereof and of all
disbursements of said Board in a book to be kept for that purpose.
The treasurer shall not pay out or disburse any of the moneys
received by him except upon the order of the Board. [Before enter-
ing upon the performance of his duties, the treasurer shall file with
the State Comptroller a bond, with sufficient sureties to the people of
the State of Maryland, in the penal sum of five thousand dollars, to
be approved by the State Comptroller, conditioned that he will well
and truly pay over all moneys received by him, according to law and
in compliance with the provisions of this subtitle, and that he will
otherwise faithfully discharge the duties of his office.] The treasurer
shall, upon entering the performance of his duties, be covered by a
surety bond in accordance with the provisions of Sections 46 through
50 of Article 78A of the Annotated Code of Maryland.

Article 43

370. Same—Organization meeting; election of officers; powers gen-
erally; meetings generally; duties of secretary and treasurer.

Said Board shall meet within ten days after their appointment has
been made and choose a president, secretary and treasurer from
members thereof and adopt a common seal, and biennially thereafter
shall elect such officers. Each member shall have the power to ad-
minister oaths and take affidavits concerning all matters properly
cognizable by said Board, certifying thereto under the hand and seal
