AN ACT TO ADD NEW SECTIONS 236 (C-l) AND 237 (D-l) TO
ARTICLE 81 OF THE ANNOTATED CODE OF MARYLAND
(1965 REPLACEMENT VOLUME), TITLE "REVENUE AND
TAXES", SUBTITLE "STATE DEPARTMENT OF ASSESS-
MENTS AND TAXATION", TO FOLLOW RESPECTIVELY
AFTER SECTIONS 236 (C) AND 237 (D), TO PROVIDE FOR
THE CLASSIFICATIONS AND PAY SCALES OF THE SEV-
ERAL SUPERVISORS OF ASSESSMENTS AND OF THE
SEVERAL CLASSES OF POSITIONS TO ASSIST THE SUPER-
VISORS OF ASSESSMENTS, ON AND AFTER JULY 1, 1967.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

That Sections 236 (b), (c), and (f), 237 (d) and (m) of Article 81

of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume), title
"Revenue and Taxes," subtitle "State Department of Assessments
and Taxation," be and they are hereby repealed and re enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows: THAT NEW SECTIONS 236
(C-l) AND 237 (D-l) BE AND THEY ARE HEREBY ADDED
TO ARTICLE 81 OF THE ANNOTATED CODE OF MARYLAND
(1965 REPLACEMENT VOLUME), TITLE "REVENUE AND
TAXES", SUBTITLE "STATE DEPARTMENT OF ASSESS-
MENTS AND TAXATION", TO FOLLOW RESPECTIVELY
AFTER SECTIONS 236 (C) AND 237 (D), AND TO READ AS
FOLLOWS:

(b) Supervisors of assessments in the several counties, including
the director of the department of assessments in Baltimore City
shall be classified as follows:

[Class A—Baltimore City.

Class B—Baltimore, Prince George's and Montgomery counties.

Class C—Vacant.

Class D—Anne Arundel County.

Class E—Allegany, Frederick, Harford and Washington counties.

Class F—Carroll, Cecil, Howard, Wicomico and Worcester coun-

ties.

Class G—Calvert, Caroline, Charles, Dorchester, Garrett, Kent,
Queen Anne's, St. Mary's, Somerset and Talbot counties.]

Class A—Baltimore City, Baltimore, Prince George's and Mont-
gomery counties.

Class B—Anne Arundel County.

Class C—Allegany, Carroll, Cecil, Frederick, Harford, Howard,
Washington, Wicomico and Worcester counties.

Class D—Calvert, Caroline, Charles, Dorchester, Garrett, Kent,

Queen Anne's, Somerset, St. Mary's and Talbot counties.

(c) The following classifications and their respective numbered
pay scales of the Maryland State employees standard salary scales
for State employees are hereby established and shall apply to the
supervisors of assessments of the several counties and the director
