the vehicle complies with the applicable law, before the vehicle can
be moved and all material or cargo so unloaded shall be cared for
by the owner or operator of such vehicle at the risk of such owner
or operator; provided, however, on first offense by a person operat-
ing a vehicle which has an indivisible load, the vehicle may be
allowed to proceed after obtaining a permit from the State Roads
Commission, but on second or subsequent offense, the vehicle carry-
ing the indivisible load must return to the place of entry or origin
in the State after obtaining a permit from the State Roads Commis-
sion to do so; and provided, further, that a vehicle violating the law
and carrying as its full load perishable products shall for first
offense only by the person operating the vehicle be allowed to pro-
ceed to the destination, but for a second or subsequent offense within
any one calendar year, said products must be unloaded before the
vehicle can be moved. Vehicles bearing valid registration plates
issued by this State under the provisions of Section 81 (f), (g) and
(h) of this Article and transporting liquid milk, in bulk from the
producer, may receive a five percent tolerance on the applicable
registration or statutory gross weight limit, but in no event shall the
registration or statutory gross weight limit including the five percent
tolerance exceed a total of [68,250] 73,280 pounds.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.

CHAPTER 681
(Senate Bill 437)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, subsection 217
(c) of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Re-
placement Volume and 1966 Supplement), title "Licenses," subtitle
"Real Estate Brokers," authorizing the Real Estate) Commission
of Maryland to establish educational requirements for applicants

for a license to act as a real estate broker or salesman, and to

correct a typographical error. TO CHANGE THE REQUIRE-
MENTS FOR QUALIFICATION AND LICENSING AS A REAL
ESTATE SALESMAN IN THIS STATE AND TO CORRECT
AN ERROR THEREIN.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That subsection 217 (c) of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1964 Replacement Volume and 1966 Supplement), title "Li-
censes," subtitle "Real Estate Brokers," be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

217.

(c) The Commission shall have the power to require all applicants
for a license under this subtitle to act as real estate broker or as a
real estate salesman, including members of copartnerships and asso-
ciations and officers of corporations, to present reasonable proof [of
