(1966 Supplement), title "Elections," subtitle "Supervisors of Elec-
tions and Employees," subheading "Judges of Election," as
amended by Chapter 811 of the Laws of Maryland of 1965, relating
to an increase in the compensation of judges of election in Prince
George's County and chief judges of election in Prince George's
County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 9(1) of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition) (1966 Supplement), title "Elections," subtitle "Su-
pervisors of Elections and Employees," subheading "Judges of Elec-
tion," as amended by Chapter 811 of the Laws of Maryland of
1965, be repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:

(1) Compensation in Prince George's County.—Notwithstanding
any previous provision under this section, in Prince George's County,
the compensation of judges of election is hereby fixed at [$25.00]
$50.00 per day for two chief judges and $35.00 per day for election
judges per precinct for each election day actually served.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.

(House Bill 196)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact Section 72-3 heading "Personnel
under Merit System" to subtitle "72. State's Attorney" of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County (1963 Edi-
tion), being also Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland as added by Chapter 626 of the Acts of 1966 to provide
that investigative personnel within the State's Attorney's office
shall be subject to the county merit system.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 72-3 headed "Personnel under Merit System," under
subtitle "72. State's Attorney," of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Prince George's County (1963 Edition) being also Article 17 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, as added by Chapter
626 by the Acts of 1966 be and the same is hereby repealed and
re-enacted to read as follows:
72-3. Personnel under Merit System.
All employees appointed by the State's Attorney or assigned to
him by the County Commissioners for Prince George's County, shall
be subject to said county's merit system as to qualifications, com-
pensation, and all other regulations, with the exception of the Deputy
and Assistant State's Attorneys [and investigative personnel].
