(Senate Bill 459)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 34 (c) of
Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement
Volume and 1966 Supplement), title "Health", subtitle "Miscel-
laneous Provisions", to allow for advertising by health labora-
tories to physicians, hospitals, and other medical care facilities.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 34 (c) of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1965 Replacement Volume and 1966 Supplement), title
"Health", subtitle "Miscellaneous Provisions", be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

34.

(c) No persons, partnership, association or corporation shall
within this State, either directly or indirectly, advertise to or solicit
business from anyone except physicians, hospitals, laboratories,
clinics, and clinical installations, or other medical care facilities for
any laboratory which makes examinations in connection with the
diagnosis and control of human disease whether such laboratory is
situate in this State or any other state. Any person violating this
section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof
shall be liable for a fine of not more than $100.00 for the first offense
and not more than $500.00 for each successive offense and each day
such violation is continued after the first conviction shall be con-
sidered a second offense.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendment, Section 3 (r) of
Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition, 1966
Cumulative Supplement), title "Elections," subtitle "Supervisors of
Elections and Employees," increasing the compensation of the
members of the Board of Supervisors of Elections in Prince
George's County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 3 (r) of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition, 1966 Cumulative Supplement), title "Elections," sub-
title "Supervisors of Elections and Employees," being the same, are
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendment, to read as follows:
