Code of Maryland (1939 Edition); they shall sit as a Road Board
once in each month, and oftener if deemed by them necessary to the
public interest, for the consideration and determination of matters
relating to county roads and bridges; and at such meetings each
County Commissioner shall inform the Board of conditions affecting
roads and bridges in said county, so far as the same have come to
his knowledge. It shall be the duty of the County Commissioners to
make careful inspection of the roads and road work in Garrett County,
according to rules to be adopted by the Board. For the duties im-
posed by this section, the County Commissioners shall each receive a
salary of Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) per year, in addition to
such salary as is now provided for them by law.

It is further provided that any and all funds allocated to the Road
Board by the State Roads Commission as provided in Article 89B
above, shall be paid over to the Garrett County Treasurer for de-
posit in a special bank account until such time as needed by the Board.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

CHAPTER 71
(House Bill 414)

AN ACT to add new Section 10A to Article 36 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume), title "Fees of Officers,"
subtitle "Attorneys," to follow immediately after Section 10 there-
of; and to add new Section 5(g) to Article 38 of said Code, title
"Fines and Forfeitures," to follow immediately after Section 5(f)
thereof; providing that certain payments be made to the court
library of Carroll County from attorneys' fees and from fines and
forfeitures.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 10A be and it is hereby added to Article 36 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume), title
"Fees of Officers," subtitle "Attorneys," to follow immediately after
Section 10 thereof; and that new Section 5(g) be and it is hereby
added to Article 38 of said Code, title "Fines and Forfeitures," to
follow immediately after Section 5(f) thereof, and both to read as
follows:

10 A.

In Carroll County, the clerk of the Circuit Court for the county shall
deposit twenty per centum (20%) of all appearance fees collected
by him into a special account to be used for the general purposes of
the court library of the county, including the necessary expenses for
books and library equipment.

(g) In Carroll County, in addition to the sums provided in subsec-
tion (a), the County Commissioners shall appropriate and pay to the
