to control and administer the property and premises thus acquired,
and for these purposes title to or other interest in the property and
premises may be transferred to the Maryland Historical Trust, or
the Board of Public Works may transfer title to or other interest in
the property and premises to AN APPROPRIATE GOVERNMEN-
TAL AGENCY OR a private agency or corporation, subject to cove-
nants and conditions for proper maintenance and control of the
property and premises and for its reversion and return to the Board
of Public Works if these covenants and conditions are not performed.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

CHAPTER 566
(Senate Bill 237)
AN ACT to add new Section 121 (c) to Article 52 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume), title "Justices of
the Peace", subtitle "Trial Magistrate System", to follow imme-
diately after Section 121 (b) thereof, to provide that no magistrate
or judge of a people's court shall practice law before the People's
Court of Howard County. IN CRIMINAL CASES.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 121 (c) be and it is hereby added to Article 52 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume), title
"Justices of the Peace", subtitle "Trial Magistrate System", to fol-
low immediately after Section 121 (b) thereof, and to read as follows:
121.
(c) It shall be unlawful for any magistrate or judge of the people's
court of any county or Baltimore City to appear as counsel IN
CRIMINAL CASES before the People's Court of Howard County.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

CHAPTER 567
(Senate Bill 265)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 17 of
Article 66½ of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Motor Vehicles", subtitle "Administration—Registration—
Titling", to authorize the Department of Motor Vehicles to issue
motor vehicle titles and registration cards or plates to law enforce-
ment agencies of the United States, of any State or of the District
of Columbia.
