Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

CHAPTER 62
(Senate Bill 336)

AN ACT to add a new Section 232A to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Harford County (1965 Edition, being Article 13 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Harford County", sub-
title "County Commissioners", to follow immediately after Section
232 thereof, providing that the Board of County Commissioners
of Harford County shall arrange and contract for the codification
and publication of certain ordinances and resolutions and perhaps
of certain rules and regulations of the Board, and making general
provision for the publication of this Code, and for its content
and effect, and legalizing the said Code.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 232A be and it is hereby added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Harford County (1965 Edition, being Article
13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Harford
County", subtitle "County Commissioners", to follow immediately
after Section 232 thereof, and to read as follows:

232A.

(a)   The Board of County Commissioners shall arrange and con-
tract for the codification and publication in book form of the ordi-
nances and resolutions of the Board, organized by subject matter,
clearly arranged, and well indexed. The Code shall include all
ordinances and resolutions in effect at the time of publication, and
having general legislative effect in part or all of the county. From
time to time after the publication of the Code, and as deemed nec-
essary or desirable, the Board may arrange and contract for pocket
or other supplements or for a re-edition and re-publication of a
complete new Code.

(b)   The Board shall expend county funds for the editing and
publication of any Code or supplement, and it may establish and
collect a stated price for the sale and distribution of any Code or
supplement.

(c)    Any Code or supplement which is codified and published
under the direction of the Board of County Commissioners is legal-
ized. It shall be deemed and taken in all the courts of the State,
by all Justices of the Peace and Trial Magistrates in the State, and
by all public officials of the State and of its several political sub-
divisions, to be evidence of the ordinances and resolutions of Har-
ford County having general legislative effect as of the time of pub-
lication.
