provided he receives the M.D. degree and following a desired period
of internship and residency shall engage in the general practice of
medicine in Worcester County for a period of not less than five
years. Any applicant who may be awarded any other public or

private scholarship at the same time shall be eligible to receive only

such scholarship benefits herein provided as the annual sum of one

thousand dollars ($1,000.00) may exceed the annual value of the

other scholarship.

(e)    Each year the County Commissioners shall cause the availa-
bility and conditions of scholarships under this section to be made
public by issuance of a press release, with a copy forwarded to each
of the several newspapers published in Worcester County. Appli-
cants therefor shall submit an application in a form specified by
the County Commissioners, which shall demonstrate the applicant's
merit and his eligibility under this section.

(f)    The County Commissioners may appoint an advisory board
to assist them in adopting regulations, to prescribe forms of appli-
cation, to conduct interviews of applicants, and to handle any other
matters pertinent to the administration of the scholarship program
provided in this section. The advisory board shall have not fewer
than three and not more than five members and shall consist of,
but not be limited to, the Director of Health for Worcester County,
the Superintendent of Schools for Worcester County, and the Presi-
dent of the Worcester County Medical Society. The advisory board
members shall receive no salary, but may be paid such expenses as
the County Commissioners deem reasonable and just.

(g)     Upon the failure or refusal of any person to observe the
conditions of a bond under this section, the attorney to the County
Commissioners shall do such things as are necessary and proper to
enforce the obligation of the bond. Any moneys received from the
enforcement of the obligation of a bond shall be accounted for by the
attorney and revert to the general funds of Worcester County.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

(House Bill 886)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 12 (f) of
Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement
Volume), title "Public Education," subtitle "Chapter 2. Formation
of Boards," to increase the amount of compensation ALLOWANCE
received by members of the County Board of Education of Mont-
gomery County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 12 (f) of Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1965 Replacement Volume), title "Public Education," subtitle "Chap-
ter 2. Formation of Boards," be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
