"County Treasurers," be and it is hereby repealed, and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
51.
(1) The county treasurer of Dorchester County shall receive an
annual salary of [$6,000.00] $7,500.00.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall not affect the
salary of the county treasurer of Dorchester County during the
present term of office but shall take effect at the beginning of the
first term of office commencing after June 1,1966.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1,1966.

(House Bill 687)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 163(j)
of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "County Liquor Control
Boards and Dispensaries," to increase the salary ceiling of the
Manager of the Kent County Liquor Dispensary.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 163(j) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "County
Liquor Control Boards and Dispensaries," be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
163.
(j) In Kent County, in addition to the other powers listed in this
section, the board shall have power to appoint a manager of said
dispensaries, who shall hold office for a term of six (6) years, be-
ginning June 1, 1947, and shall furnish to the said liquor control
board a good and sufficient bond in a penalty amount to be fixed by
the said liquor control board for the faithful performance of his
duties as manager. Said manager shall receive as compensation for
his services an annual salary of not less than three thousand dollars
($3,000.00) nor more than [five thousand dollars ($5,000.00)] six
thousand five hundred dollars ($6,500.00), and in addition the liquor
control board shall from time to time have authority to reimburse
said manager for expenses incurred in the performance of his duties.
The manager, with the consent and approval of the liquor control
board, shall appoint such other employees as may be necessary to
conduct such county liquor dispensaries or branch dispensaries, fix
their compensation at not less than $25.00 nor more than $75.00
$100.00 per week and require such bonds for the faithful perform-
ance of their duties as the said board may in each case determine.
