Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

CHAPTER 457
(House Bill 713)

AN ACT to amend subtitle 50 "Licenses" of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Prince George's County (1963 Edition) being Article
17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland to provide for
issuance of licenses therein by the Department of Inspections and
Permits of Prince George's County and payment of the fees for the
same to the Treasurer for Prince George's County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That subtitle 50 "Licenses" of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Prince George's County (1963 Edition) being Article 17 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland be amended to read as follows:

50-1. Hawkers and peddlers.

For licenses issued to hawkers and peddlers in Prince George's
County, the fee shall be fifty dollars ($50.00) to be collected by
the [Clerk of the Circuit Court for Prince George's County and paid
over by him to] Treasurer for Prince George's County on behalf of
the County Commissioners of said county.

50-2. Ice dealers.

It shall not be lawful for any person, firm, association or corpora-
tion to sell at wholesale or retail within the limits of Prince George's
County, artificial or natural ice unless such person, firm, association
or corporation shall first have procured on or before May first of
each year an annual license for that purpose. Said license shall be
issued by the [Clerk of the Circuit Court for said county] Depart-
ment of Inspections and Permits for Prince George's County
upon
and not before the payment of the sum of fifty dollars ($50.00)
for said license [and a fee of twenty-five cents (25¢) to said Clerk
for issuing the same.] to the Treasurer for Prince George's County
on behalf of the County Commissioners for Prince George's County
for the General expenses of said county.
Said license shall not be
transferable and shall expire on April thirtieth of each year. [Any
and all money received by said Clerk for any license or licenses issued
as aforesaid shall be promptly accounted for and paid over by him
to the County Commissioners for the general expenses of said
county.] Any persons, firm, association or corporation who violates
the provisions of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor
and, upon conviction before any justice of the peace of said county,
shall be subject to a fine of not less than five dollars ($5.00) nor
more than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for each such violation.

50-3. Itinerant vendors and roadside stands.

(a) License. No person, firm or corporation, by its officers,
agents or employees, shall sell, barter or trade or offer or expose for
