Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 106, 107 and 108 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Howard County (1965 Edition, being Article
14 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Howard
County", subtitles respectively "Terms", "Return Day", "Bailiff's
Compensation", "Writs-Returnable", "Defendant, failure to appear"
and "Desertion", be and they are hereby repealed.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

AN ACT to add new Section 25E to Article 52 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume), title "Justices of the
Peace", subtitle "Criminal Jurisdiction", to follow immediately
after Section 25D thereof; and to add new Sections 7-101 to 7-114,
inclusive, to the Baltimore County Code, 1958 (being Article 3 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Baltimore
County", subtitle "Title 7. Courts, Fines, Forfeitures and Im-
prisonment", to follow immediately after Section 7-100 thereof
and to be under the new subheading "Article VIII. Housing Court",
to remove cases involving violations of the laws or regulations per-
taining to zoning, health, building and fire codes effective within
Baltimore County from the jurisdiction of the trial magistrates of
the county and to vest such jurisdiction in a Housing Court for
the county, to provide for the court, its judge, his powers, duties,
compensation and employees, and relating generally to the juris-
diction over trial of zoning, health, building and fire violations in
Baltimore County.

That new Section 25E be, and it is hereby added to Article 52 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume), title
"Justices of the Peace", subtitle "Criminal Jurisdiction", to follow
immediately after Section 25D thereof, and to read as follows:
25E.
From and after June 1, 1966, in Baltimore County, all cases in-
volving violations of the health and zoning laws and regulations of
the State and Baltimore County and all violations of the Building
and Fire Codes of the County shall be vested, to the exclusion of the
justices of the peace for the county, in the Housing Court of the
County as provided for in the local laws of the County.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That new Sections 7-101 to
7-114 inclusive, be and they are hereby added to the Baltimore County
Code, 1958 (being Article 3 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Baltimore County", subtitle "Title 7. Courts. Fines,
Forfeitures and Imprisonment", to follow immediately after Section
7-100 thereof and to be under the new subheading "Article VIII.
Housing Court", and to read as follows:
