Commission, and shall receive and account for all monies which
shall be due and payable to said Commission from any source what-
soever.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1,1966.

CHAPTER 109
(House Bill 543)

AN ACT to add new Section 55A to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Howard County (1965 Edition, being Article 14 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Howard County," sub-
title "County Commissioners and County Collectors," to follow
immediately after Section 55 thereof, to provide authorization to
the County Commissioners of Howard County to pass such regu-
lations as they deem proper prohibiting the firing or discharging of
firearms in certain areas of Howard County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 55A be and it is hereby added to the Code of Public
Local Laws of Howard County (1965 Edition, being Article 14 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Howard County,"
subtitle "County Commissioners and County Collectors," to follow
immediately after Section 55 thereof, and to read as follows:

55 A.

The County Commissioners of Howard County are hereby author-
ized to establish such rules, regulations or ordinances, as in their
discretion they deem proper, to prohibit the firing, discharging or
shooting of firearms in certain residential areas of Howard County.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That nothing in this Act shall
be construed to repeal or conflict with any laws of the State of
Maryland now in effect with relation to the control of firearms.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

Approved March 23, 1966.
