advantages to the establishment of an airport in Howard County
and such other information as it deems necessary or appropriate.

E. The Board of County Commissioners is directed to provide
the Commission with such funds and assistance as in their discretion
may be necessary.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall expire
automatically on June 1, 1967, without further action on the part
of the General Assembly and shall be null and void after said date.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1,1966.

CHAPTER 107
(House Bill 411)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 171 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Howard County (1965 Edition,
being Article 14 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "Howard County," subtitle "Metropolitan Commission," to
provide for the amendment of the Water and Sewerage Code of
Standards adopted by the Metropolitan Commission of Howard
County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 171 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Howard
County (1965 Edition, being Article 14 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Howard County," subtitle "Metropolitan
Commission," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

171.

On or before November 1, 1965, the Metropolitan Commission of
Howard County shall establish standards and specifications pertain-
ing to the installation and types of water and sewerage systems to be
used in Howard County and shall publish same in a Code to be made
available by the Metropolitan Commission at a minimum charge to
the general public upon request. The Code, and amendments thereto,
shall include size and type of pipes and include all fixtures, structures,
apparatus, connections, accessories, pumps and all things associated
with the installation and operation and maintenance of such systems.
Four weeks prior to the adoption of said code, or amendments there-
to,
notice shall be given for two consecutive weeks in one or more
newspapers published in Howard County setting forth the date and
time of a Public Hearing to be held on said code.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.
