Resolved, That the Secretary of State of Maryland is requested
to send a copy of this resolution under the Great Seal of the State of
Maryland to the Federated Garden Clubs of Maryland.

(House Joint Resolution 12)

House Joint Resolution, commending the chairman and members of
the Harford County Governmental Study Commission appointed
pursuant to House Bill 499 enacted at the Regular Session of the
Legislature in 1965 for their dedication and responsible discharge
of duty.

Whereas, The General Assembly of the State of Maryland by House
Bill 499, enacted as Chapter 184 in the Regular Session of 1965^
established a Harford County Governmental Study Commission; and

Whereas, Pursuant to this legislation, such a committee was estab-
lished; and

Whereas, This committee performed their assigned duties with
diligence and dedication and duly submitted a detailed report to the
State Senator, Members of the House of Delegates from Harford
County, the Board of County Commissioners of Harford County,
and the people of Harford County; now, therefore, be it

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the chairman,
J. Glasgow Archer, Jr. and members of the Harford County Govern-
mental Study Commission, Thomas F. Colleran, Florio N. Franeto-
vich, Thomas J. Hatem, Stephen M. Kahoe, Jr., Lauretta S. Laird,
Paul M. Lefever, Richard J. Meyer, Howard J. McCann, Frank Novak,
J. Charles Rutledge, Harold H. Smith, Mildred Stansbury, Frederick
J. Viele, and Eloise H. Wilson, with others who assisted them, be
commended and made aware of the deep appreciation of the General
Assembly of the State of Maryland and specifically the Harford
County Delegation; and be it further

Resolved, That copies of this resolution are sent under the Great
Seal of the State of Maryland to the Chairman and members of the
committee listed above and the County Commissioners for Harford
County.
