in matters relating to jurisdictional control of planning, zoning and
subdivision regulations; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the Governor
of Maryland is BE requested to appoint a Commission of not more
than ten persons, including persons competent and knowledgeable in
planning and zoning controls and laws, to make a comprehensive re-
view of the State's planning and zoning laws, for the purpose of pre-
paring a revision of these laws, and to report its recommendations to
the General Assembly and the Legislative Council for the 1967 Session
of the General Assembly, and be it further
Resolved, That copies of this Resolution are sent to the Governor
of Maryland and to the Presidents of the Maryland State and
Baltimore City Bar Associations.

House Joint Resolution congratulating the Federated Garden Clubs
of Maryland upon the occasion of its Fortieth Anniversary.
Whereas, the members of the General Assembly of Maryland are
pleased and proud to congratulate and commend the Federated
Garden Clubs of Maryland upon the occasion of the Fortieth An-
niversary of this fine organization.
The Federated Garden Clubs are an outstanding civic and im-
provement organization. During these forty years they have con-
tributed mightily to the beauty and progress of the State of Mary-
land.
The members of these clubs have taken a constant and active
interest in roadside planting. They have organized and conducted
pilgrimages to the beautiful gardens and the old homes of Maryland.
In these and other ways they have made a vital and a valuable con-
tribution to the beautification of our land and to the culture of our
people.
The Federated Garden Clubs deserve the congratulations of the
entire State of Maryland for forty years of progress and of vision.
The members of this organization are fine citizens whose indefati-
gable energies have been vital in improving the beauty of our country-
side and the sense of civic responsibility of our citizenry.
Acting in behalf of the people of the entire State, it is the pleasure
of the General Assembly of Maryland to extend warm good wishes
to the Federated Garden Clubs of Maryland upon the occasion of
their Fortieth Anniversary; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the con-
gratulations, commendation and best wishes of the General Assembly
and of the people of Maryland are extended to the Federated Garden
Clubs of Maryland upon the celebration by this organization of its
Fortieth Anniversary; and be it further
