to road as follows:

THAT NEW SECTIONS 46 AND 47 BE AND THEY ARE HERE-
BY ADDED TO ARTICLE 40 OF THE ANNOTATED CODE OF
MARYLAND (1965 REPLACEMENT VOLUME), TITLE "GEN-
ERAL ASSEMBLY," TO FOLLOW IMMEDIATELY AFTER SEC-
TION 45 THEREOF, AND TO BE UNDER RESPECTIVELY THE
NEW SUBTITLES "SUB-DISTRICTS FOR THE SENATE" AND
"SUB-DISTRICTS FOR THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES," AND
ALL TO READ AS FOLLOWS:

27 22. Legislative Districts

(a) Eight members to be elected to the House of Delegates of

Maryland shall be residents of and elected from each of two legisla-
tive districts described as follows:

(1) The Northern Legislative District shall consist of those elec-
tion districts hereinbefore described in this subtitle as Vansville No.

1, Queen Anne No. 7, Laurel No. 10, Bowie No. 14, Hyattsville No.

16, Chillum No. 17, Riverdale No. 19, and Berwyn No 21; and

(2) The Southern Legislative district shall consist of those elec-
tion districts hereinbefore described in this subtitle as Bladensburg
No. 2, Marlboro No. 3, Nottingham No. 4, Piscataway No. 5,

Spauldings No. 6, Aquasco No. 8, Surratts No. 9, Brandywine No.

11, Oxon Hill No. 12, Kent No. 13, Lellwood No. 15, Seat Pleasant

No. 18, and Lanham No. 20.

(b) Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 42E (a 1) of the

Article 40 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition) title

"General Assembly" subtitle "Apportionment," as enacted by Chapter
2 of the Laws of Maryland of 1965 Special Session, the 5 members

elected to the Senate of Maryland shall be residents of and elected

from Prince George's County at large.

SUBDISTRICTS FOR THE SENATE
46.

(A)    SENATORIAL DISTRICT NO. 4, COMPRISING ALL OF
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, IS DIVIDED INTO LEGISLATIVE
SUB-DISTRICTS FOR ITS MEMBERSHIP IN THE SENATE OF
MARYLAND, AS IN THIS SECTION PROVIDED.

(B)    ONE SENATOR SHALL BE A RESIDENT OF AND
ELECTED FROM LEGISLATIVE SUB-DISTRICT NO. 4A, WHICH
SHALL CONSIST OF THOSE ELECTION DISTRICTS DE-
SCRIBED IN THE SUBTITLE "ELECTION DISTRICTS" IN THE
CODE OF PUBLIC LOCAL LAWS OF PRINCE GEORGE'S
COUNTY (1963 EDITION, AS AMENDED FROM TIME TO
TIME) AS VANSVILLE-NO. 1, MARLBORO-NO. 3, QUEEN
ANNE-NO. 7, LAUREL-NO. 10, BOWIE-NO. 14, MELLWOOD-NO.
15, AND BERWYN-NO. 21.

(C)    TWO SENATORS SHALL BE RESIDENTS OF AND
ELECTED FROM LEGISLATIVE SUB-DISTRICT NO. 4B,
