(c)    All such 'probationers shall be required to attend the school
regularly for a series of sessions not to exceed ten (10) in number.
Classes shall be held in such of the magistrate court rooms in
Baltimore County as may be designated by the Director; provided,
however, there shall be at least one school conducted in each of the
Police Districts of the county.

(d)    The school shall include but not be limited to courses in
driver safety, civic responsibility, America and its heritage, and the
ramifications present and future of violating the laws of the State,
both as to the individual and the community.

(e)     The school shall be operated pursuant to the rules and regu-
lations as promulgated by the Director and shall deliver such courses
of study as deemed necessary by the Director and his assistants.
The school may utilize any and all volunteer services of the State,
the county or any of her citizens.

(f)    Failure of any probationer to attend said school us directed
shall entitle the magistrate to strike out the Order of Probation
Before Verdict and proceed with the finding in the case.

(g)    The provisions of this section shall in no way prohibit the
probationary schools which have been established and are being con-
ducted on a voluntary basis in the various magistrate's courts in
Baltimore County; provided, however, that any such voluntary school
shall comply with the minimum standards as established by the
Director.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

CHAPTER 720
(House Bill 1168)

AN ACT to add four new sections to Article 88B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1964 Replacement Volume),
title "State Police," subtitle "In General," said new sections to be
known as Sections 21A through 21D, inclusive, to follow imme-
diately after Section 21 thereof; to repeal and re-enact, with
amendments, Section 428 of Article 81 of said Code (1957 Edition
and 1965 Replacement Volume), title "Revenue and Taxes," sub-
title "Road Tax on Motor Carriers"; to repeal and re-enact, with
amendments, Section 46 of Article 89B of said Code (1957 Edi-
tion and 1964 Replacement Volume), title "State Roads," sub-
title "Distribution and Use of Special Funds"; and to repeal and
re-enact, with amendments, Sections 315(f) and 341(d) of Ar-
ticle 66½ of said Code (1957 Edition and 1965 Supplement), title
"Motor Vehicles," subtitles, respectively, "Operation of Vehicles
Upon Highways" and "Offenses and Prosecutions," to provide for
the enforcement of certain provisions of the motor vehicle laws of
this State and the road tax on Motor Carriers to be enforced by
the Department of Maryland State Police; to provide for the dis-
tribution, replacement, repair, and maintenance of certain prop-
