to receive benefits under this article shall have such benefits reduced
as a result of said retirement, retainer, or disability payments from
the government of the United States.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

(House Bill 1165)
AN ACT to add new Section 127 to Article 52 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume), title "Justices of
the Peace," to follow immediately after Section 126 thereof, and
to be under the new subtitle "Juvenile Probationary School," to
establish a juvenile probationary school in Baltimore County, pre-
scribing its purpose and courses of study, its method of operation,
funding, providing a director and assistant director and delegat-
ing their duties, and designating those persons who shall attend
classes conducted by such school.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 127 be and it is hereby added to Article 52 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume), title "Jus-
tices of the Peace," to follow immediately after Section 126 thereof,
and to be under the new subtitle "Juvenile Probationary School," and
to read as follows:
Juvenile Probationary School
127.
(a) There is hereby created in Baltimore County a Juvenile Pro-
bationary School to be headed by a Director and three assistants
to be appointed by the Governor by and with the advice and consent
of the Senate. Said Director and his assistants shall hold office for
a term of four (4) years, the Director to receive an annual salary
of three thousand dollars ($3,000.00) and the assistants to receive
an annual salary of fifteen hundred dollars ($1,500.00) TWENTY-
FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($2,500.00) each.
In addition to the salaries above provided, Baltimore County shall
levy a sum sufficient to pay reasonable office expenses to include
stenographer and clerical expenses.
(b) Said Director and his assistants shall establish a school for
persons under 21 years of age who are placed on Probation Before
Verdict in connection with any charge for violation of any of the
motor vehicle laws of the State or any criminal law whether State or
local, over which the trial magistrate has jurisdiction, when referred
by the trial magistrate or substitute trial magistrate in Baltimore
County.
