Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 89 (g) be and it is hereby added to Article 2B of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1964 Supple-
ment), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Hours and Days for
Sale", to follow immediately after Section 89 (f) thereof and to read
as follows:

89.

(g) In St. Mary's County the Board of License Commissioners,
upon application in such form and at such time as they may direct,
may issue a special permit authorizing any licensee to keep his estab-
lishment open on January 1 of any year.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

CHAPTER 588
(Senate Bill 555)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 59 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Charles County (1959 Edition,
being Article 9 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "Charles County", sub-title "County Commissioners", sub-
heading "Tuition Payments", amending the laws concerning pay-
ments for tuition of students at junior colleges by the County
Commissioners of Charles County, with particular respect to the
amount of such payments.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 59 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Charles County
(1959 Edition, being Article 9 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Charles County", sub-title "County Commissioners",
sub-heading "Tuition Payments", be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

59. The County Commissioners of Charles County be and they
are hereby authorized and directed to appropriate a sum of money
for the tuition of students at any junior college now or hereafter
established in Charles County by the County Board of Education.
Said sum shall be equal to [$200. for each student, up to a maximum
of 200 students] the amount of the State contribution for each
student at a community college, under the provisions of Section 304
of Article 77 of the Annotated Code (1957 Edition, as amended).

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.
