County to use the general funds of the county for such purposes
and for maintaining such nursing home when built, and to borrow
such additional sums as may be necessary therefor on short term
notes from any bank or trust company in the county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Chapter 86 of the Acts of 1963 be and it is hereby repealed.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That for the purposes of
acquiring land for and of constructing, equipping and maintaining
a nursing home in the county, the County Commissioners are author-
ized and empowered to use the general funds of the county and are
further authorized to borrow such additional sums as they may deem
necessary for such purposes on short term notes from any bank or
trust company in the county and to pledge the credit of the county
for the repayment thereof together with all interest as it becomes
due.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

AN ACT to add new Section 170A to Article 19 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's County",
to follow immediately after Section 170 thereof, and to be under
the new sub-title "Recreation and Parks", to create a Board of
Recreation and Parks in St. Mary's County, to provide its
membership, their powers and duties, to establish programs for
public recreation and parks in the county, to authorize the Board
to appoint beautification, cleanup and conservation committees
and to define their powers and duties.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 170A be and it is hereby added to Article 19 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"St. Mary's County", to follow immediately after Section 170 thereof,
and to be under the new sub-title "Recreation and Parks", to read
as follows:
Recreation and Parks
170A.
(a) The County Commissioners of St. Mary's County are hereby
authorized to establish a Board of Recreation and Parks with powers
and duties hereinafter specified.
(b) The Board shall consist of seven members, appointed by the
County Commissioners, of whom one shall be first recommended by
the County Board of Education from its membership or otherwise,
